As part of international alliance Alliott Group, Sherrards will be exhibiting at the Going Global conference in May held at Excel London. Going Global is the top UK national exhibition for businesses that are looking to expand internationally, export products or set up overseas operations. A joint presentation from Laurel Zhang of Sherrards’ International team will take place at the event, in partnership with Alliotts, on the benefits and pitfalls of doing business in China.
The presentation will cover the importance of understanding Chinese culture and legal infrastructure, as well as how to overcome language barriers for more effective communication. Laurel will also explore the difference between internet usage in China and the West, specifically looking at search engines and social media sites, which significantly differs from that of the UK. Background and speaker profiles can be found on the Going Global Live website.
With 170 member firms in 70 countries worldwide, the Alliott Group is one of only a few global organisations that offer companies and individuals access to the interrelated know-how of accountants, tax advisers and lawyers that is needed to get business done across borders.
Head of Sherrards International Services, Paul Marmor comments: “Sherrards’ membership of the Alliott Group is central to our international coverage and we are delighted to assist with showcasing the benefits of the Alliott Group alliance at this essential international conference.”
The Going Global conference offers owners and managers of SMEs an ideal opportunity to network and gain information and assistance in exporting products or setting up overseas operations – particularly in Central Emerging Europe, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, MINT Economies and Africa.
Sherrards’ Managing Partner, Alasdair McMillin, adds: “Through our Alliott Group membership and other international associations, we can ensure that we have the ability to place work and open doors across the globe, through trusted fellow professionals, who think as we do.
The Going Global show takes place on the 11th & 12th May at London ExCeL and an estimated 30,000 business visitors are expected to attend, including CEOs, managing directors and other key business decision-makers.
