Company/ Commercial Lawyer – St Albans
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic solicitors to join our expanding corporate commercial team, based primarily in our St Albans office. Working directly for the lead partner in the team, Leigh Head, the role involves general commercial work as well as corporate/M&A deals. The team boasts an enviable client base, working for a range of clients of different sizes and sectors. Excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a close knit, supportive team, and to learn from the very best. The successful candidates will have general experience of both corporate and commercial work, in private practice (or exceptional in house experience). You will need between 3-8 year’s PQE, and strong training/experience from a boutique or medium-sized firm. The ability to cope in a fast-paced and pressured environment, whilst maintaining a calm façade for clients, is vital, together with strong drafting skills and a sense of humour!
Residential Property Solicitor – St Albans
An opportunity has arisen for an exciting role to work within a well established existing Real Estate team, specialising in residential conveyancing.
The role is suitable for a solicitor 3-4 years qualified or an experienced licenced conveyancer or legal executive.
You will be dealing with all aspects of residential real estate and residential development work, working alongside a partner and the head of residential real estate including a para-legal and assistants. Aspects of the work will include running your own caseload from initial instruction through to post completion, taking on matters and being confident enough to progress, dealing proactively with work and providing an exemplary client service. In addition, there will be opportunity to work on development sites, setting up the legal documentation and collating legal sales packs.
Knowledge is required in the area of residential SDLT and the complicated workings of the Revenue rules. Land Registry experience is required in respect of submission of the applications to the portal and drafting documentation accordingly.
Excellent IT skills are needed, the ability to run data sites, shared files and to use both Proclaim (Document Management System) and iManage (training will be given).
The team is hardworking and demanding however it is a rewarding department to be part of.

Finance Assistant £18-20,000
A fantastic training and development opportunity has arisen for a full time Finance Assistant within a leading Law Firm based in St Albans. As a member of the team, the individual will be working directly alongside the Finance Manager assisting in the creation and delivery of reports, assisting in the preparation of the month-end procedure and the preparation of management accounts in addition to other duties.
Previous Finance experience is ideal but not essential.
Experience or education to include a demonstrable understanding of business / accounting principles is desired.
Good Excel and number skills along with a good working knowledge of other MS packages is essential.
