Not a lot of people may know this, but St Albans in Hertfordshire is among the top 10 places in England for employment in professional occupations. Indeed, our city is home to around 80 Chartered Accountancy firms, 50 law firms and numerous firms of chartered surveyors, and to some of the top financial and legal firms both regionally and globally.
And on 8th January this year, the innovative ‘City of Expertise‘ campaign, which has been under wraps since 2013, was launched by the St Albans Professional Services Group, a cluster of 18 firms, of which Sherrards Solicitors is one, supported by St Albans City & District Council and the St Albans Chamber of Commerce. See the coverage in the Hertfordshire Business Independent.
The initiative aims to make St Albans more visible as a centre of excellence for professional services and has been driven out of the Council’s economic development work. A promotional campaign is in full swing and currently includes a City of Expertise website and poster campaign at St Albans and Harpenden railway stations, with much more to come!
We are truly proud that St Albans is home to some of the top financial and legal companies both in the region and internationally, and just as within our own firm, the city has a wealth of expertise and knowledge that rivals London firms.
What makes us different as a law firm in St Albans
On the legal side, we offer local businesses something slightly different – in a nutshell, access to commercial solicitors who are not only experts on local and national issues, but who are also internationally savvy and connected. Wherever you need assistance, we will get it done! We have also been very successful in not only attracting legal talent from City firms to St Albans and our West End office, but also in appealing to bright, personable young legal professionals with sound business skills who seek a stimulating, varied career in law that will bring them into contact with local, national and international matters.
We salute an initiative that is supporting and encouraging the growth and development of our wonderful city! If you haven’t visited already, for business or pleasure, we are just 20 minutes north of London by train and offer fantastic places to drink, dine, and entertain.
