Even though life is of course exciting and glamorous at Sherrards (!), let’s face it, it’s not every day we get a visit from the Law Society and their TV crew who work for MTV and are more used to interviewing rock stars.
However, we like to think we have a few stars of our own in the firm, and although we’re not quite Hollywood, we’re certainly making waves on the international scene these days. By the way, you can read the official press release here.
Getting back to the script, we had a call from the Law Society’s International Division asking us if we would take part in their Annual Review, which this year has been transformed into a very cool video format. The remit was to talk about how they have helped us to extend our legal services internationally.
Head of Litigation and International, Paul Marmor, explained how the Law Society’s International Division, the UKTI, International Bar Association, and membership of Alliott Group, have all opened doors for the firm on the international scene, enabling the firm to punch above its weight among mid-market law firms in London and the Home Counties, and of course “get work done” for clients in Russia, CIS countries, the Far East, Europe and North America. This level of connectivity is keeping our clients happy and our lawyers busy and challenged.
We enjoyed a fun day with the team, run by Clare Wills Communications Adviser at the Law Society, and are hugely grateful for the opportunity to show off our international credentials, great London location, smart offices, and of course top drawer people.
Stay tuned for more information on our growing international presence!
