Last week Sherrards Litigation lawyer, Hannah Jones, attended a Hillier Hopkins Charity Lunch at Watford Football Club as a guest of FRP Advisory LLP in support of Waverley Driving Group with celebrity guest speaker Judge Rinder.
Judge Rinder is a British reality court show that has aired on ITV since 2014. A daytime TV favourite, the show centres around criminal barrister Robert Rinder as the judge. Before adjudicating basic consumer issues, neighbourhood disputes and allegations of negligence on screen, Robert Rinder worked on criminal law cases involving international fraud and money laundering.
Speaking on behalf of the Charity, Judge Rinder delivered a moving speech providing valuable insight into the way the Waverley Driving Group operate.
The Waverley Driving Group, founded in 1982, is a local group of the Riding for the Disabled (“RDA”) based near Radlett Hertfordshire. Voluntarily run the Waverley Driving Group provides Carriage Driving for the Disabled aimed at those people unable to ride but who can still benefit from the experience of involvement with horses and ponies, sometimes without leaving their wheelchair. Carriage Driving offers a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, be out in the open air benefiting health & wellbeing and to have great fun.
The event was hugely successful raising funds and awareness for The Waverley Driving Group.
