The Sherrards’ Assassins had another excellent tournament continuing their international travels to Kinsale in Ireland. The Kinsale Sevens is an established tournament with over 80 teams competing in the various competitions.

The Assassins played in the Elite competition and faced extremely tough competition including Wild Geese from Ireland and the Marauders from England. They topped their group having won all four group games and marched into the semi-finals and won their game in emphatic style.

The final was against Projectx Waterboys who are from Scotland and have a growing reputation on the Sevens circuit and who have a very strong squad and a number of very established players. On this occasion, it was one step too far for the Assassins who played extremely well and eventually ended up as runners up. This was another excellent tournament for the Assassins and a great start to their season. Come on you Assassins!
